| Spot-On Sundials makes a wide
range of horizontal and polar sundials in brass and stainless steel, incorporating
the unique split gnomon (which casts the shadow). This gives a "line of
light" at noontime. It also simplifies setting up the sundials with precision
so that it can be read to the nearest minute or two. Our exhibition in Cabot Square at Canary Wharf runs from Wed 25 to Sun 29 June (8 to 7 weekdays; 11 to 5 weekend) There is a "Make a Sundial" workshop over the weekend. Top picture: The new Universal Polar Dial which can be adjusted to suit any latitude between central Norway and the equator, so you can take it with you whenever you move house! The shadow of the central "ox-head" gnomon just touches the tip of the left-hand ear at 6 am and then moves as a parallel line from left to right, giving the line of light under the gnomon at noon, and leaving the tip of the right-hand ear at 6 pm. Bottom left picture: The original Spot-On Sundial in brass, made in sizes from 17 to 34 cm. with square or round bases, with optional engraving on the gnomon. Bottom right picture: The stainless steel Spot-On Sundial, custom-made in sizes from 15 to 55 cm. These sundials give stunning reflections and have ample space on the dialplate for individual commemorative inscriptions. For full details on all our products, please visit
